Concrete Driveways Dublin — Plain, Exposed Aggregate and Imprinted
Plain, exposed aggregate and imprinted concrete driveways. Durable, long-lasting solutions.
Concrete driveways fell out of fashion for a period when block paving became the default choice, but they're back — particularly exposed aggregate concrete, which has a more natural, varied appearance than a plain grey slab. A well-laid concrete driveway is one of the most durable surfaces available: properly specified and cured, it will outlast most other driveway types.
The critical element is concrete specification and curing. We use a C30 structural mix with appropriate reinforcement for driveway use, and we allow proper curing time rather than rushing to finish. Expansion joints are critical — a concrete driveway without proper joints will crack, usually in the most visible spot. We plan joint positions as part of the design.
We offer plain brushed concrete, exposed aggregate (where the surface layer is washed off before curing to reveal the aggregate within), and imprinted or stamped concrete patterns. Free survey, written quote within 24 hours.
Materials and Options
Plain brushed concrete
Standard grey concrete with a light brush finish for anti-slip texture. Functional, clean, durable.
Exposed aggregate
The surface layer is washed away before curing to expose the aggregate within the concrete mix. The aggregate colour and size gives the final appearance.
Imprinted concrete
Coloured concrete with a pattern stamped in before curing — typically mimicking cobblestone, slate, or brick patterns. Also called "pattern imprinted" or "stamped" concrete.
