About This Project
Contemporary porcelain patio on a 1960s detached house in Stillorgan. Large format charcoal porcelain with contrasting pale grey border. North-facing garden — porcelain chosen specifically for its resistance to moss and algae in shade.
The Challenge
North-facing garden with dense shade. Previous sandstone patio was covered in algae and moss within 3 years of installation.
Our Solution
Porcelain specified for its low porosity and moss resistance. Full bed adhesive installation on new sub-base. Flexible epoxy grout joints. Uniform 10mm joint throughout. No sealing required.
